Complete Prospective Clergy Theological Survey
Send the completed Application Information Profile, Affirmations and Declarations and Prospective Clergy Theological Survey along with the attached supporting documents (certificates, transcripts, etc) to the Diocesan Office.
Send a narrative summary of your sense of call and vision and reason for seeking affiliation within AOCC.
Have any references to submit Letters of Recommendation to the Bishop Prelate.
After receiving the completed information, two clergy interviewers will be assigned to you.
Following the interviews, a decision will be made regarding your candidacy for Holy Orders.
You will be informed of the decision immediately and a Letter of Acceptance to Candidacy for Holy Orders will be issued.
A clergy Mentor from the Diocese (or the Communion if not located in a COA Diocese) will be assigned to work with you throughout the formation/ordination process.
A program for education and formation will be developed based upon your application, interview process, Communion Standards for Clergy Development and Proficiency and consultation with your Mentor.
In special situations where the candidate has been ordained by a group outside of Apostolic Succession and is involved in active ministry, ordination may be accomplished prior to the completion of the recommended studies. In such cases, the candidate must sign a written agreement to complete their studies on a timely basis. Such exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Bishop Prelate.
